When I was younger, my mom told me about an old drink that she used to love. That drink was Clearly Canadian, specifically the Wild Cherry flavor. She told me how she used to pack it in her lunchbox when she went to school. At that time, Clearly Canadian was discontinued. No more than a distant childhood memory. Nowadays, they’re having a bit of a revival. You can pick them up in several grocery stores, and it even comes in cans now!
Since I can easily find it in my local Publix now, I’ve been buying it for myself. Recently, I had a thought while sipping on a bottle…
“Dang. This would make a good mixer.”
And so I set out to make a cocktail with it. The Clearly Canadian Boozy Cherry Limeade. If you’re an adult looking for a new way to enjoy this nostalgic drink, then this is for you!

Ingredients:
- 1 Bottle of Clearly Canadian Wild Cherry
- 1.5 oz Vodka
- 0.5 oz Lime juice
- Splash of cherry juice (Optional. Mostly for color)
- 1 Lime wedge
- 1 Maraschino cherry
Instructions:
- This is a mix-in-glass drink, so you’re going to start by combining the vodka, lime juice, and cherry juice in a highball glass and mix.
- Next, fill the glass up with ice.
- Top the drink with the Clearly Canadian and give the drink one more stir.
- Use a knife to slit the lime wedge. This is how you get it to stay in place on the glass.
- Add the cherry and you’re done!
I hope you enjoy this cocktail as much as I did.
Cheers!
